Jim was the second child for Bellisario Di Cecca and Paola Morcinelli. He and his siblings were born in Toronto. He had four brothers and two sisters. The family moved to a farm in Freeman (Burlington) Ontario and then later to another farm in Waterdown, Ontario. Jim was married in 1946 to Theresa McNeil and they had a family of 13 children. He started his business called Waterdown Garden Supplies about 1951. Jim was still a part of the business when he passed away.
