Son of John Frank Bringman and Minnie Eliza Whetstine. Had two half-brothers Jay and John Clyde, two sisters Carrie Mae and Neva Sarah Francis, seven brothers, Harold, Earl, Melvin, Berton, Franklin, Gordon, and his twin brother Len John. Worked in his youth for the Diamond A Cattle Company for many years. Eventually he homesteaded three miles east of Eagle Butte in Dewey County where he lived with his mother Minnie Bringman and his nephew Carroll Sciford who he helped raise.
He married Barbara Ellen Ehli Bringman in 1954 and helped her raise her three children, Frank, Jeannie and Peggy. They went on to have three children of their own, Marian Kay, John Glen, and Barbara Jo Bringman. He continued ranching right up to 1981 and helping his wife with daily maintenance of the motel they purchased in 1960.
They retired in 2002 and sold the farm and motel, moving to Rapid City, SD, He died in Sept 2002 in Rapid City, SD. He left behind fifteen grandchildren in addition to his wife and children.
