COURTNEY, BILLIE JEAN - age 80, of Mooresburg, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. She was a member of Mooresburg United Methodist Church and was formerly employed with Magnavox in Morristown and Signal Knitting Mill. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lon King Sr. and Nancy Katherine (Katie) Courtney; brothers, Jim and Lon (Kayo) Courtney; sisters, Nancy Courtney, Vivian Price, Dorothy Hayes and Christine Hinton; nieces and nephews, Becki Calfee, Stasha Lovin, Johnny and Joe Hayes. She is survived by her daughter, Myrna (Gary) Long; granddaughter, Courtney Long; sister, Barbara (Bobbie) Lovin all of Mooresburg; niece, Karen (Steve) Bales of Morristown; great-nieces, Stephanie, Shelli and Natali of Knoxville; along with a host of other family members and friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 7:00 P.M. in the chapel of Stetzer Funeral Home with Rev. Denver Davidson officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 P.M. until time of service. Family and friends will meet Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 1:45 P.M. at Mayes Cemetery in Mooresburg for a 2:00 P.M. graveside/interment service. Arrangements by Stetzer Funeral Home, Morristown.
