RAVENNA - Milton Ahrens, 57, of Ravenna died Thursday, Aug. 5, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island

Serviced will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church in Kearney. The Revs. Karla Sheffy and Rose Bartleson will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery in Ravenna.

Visitation will be from 7 t0 9 p.m. Sunday at Rasmussen Mortuary in Ravenna.

Mr. Ahrens was born on July 12 1942, at Kenesaw to Herman and Clara (Hinrichs) Ahrens. He graduated from Shelton High School.

He married Mary Jo Lee on Aug. 26, 1962, at Shelton. The couple lived on a farm south of Ravenna.

Mr. Ahrens was a member of Zion United Methodist Church. He had served on the Ravenna school board, 4-H board and Buffalo County Extension Board.

Survivors include his wife; five sons, Monte and Chuck, both of Ravenna, Marc of Hutchinson, Kan., Mike of Grand Island and Matt of Kearney; two daughters, MeriLynn Pehrson of Waverly and Heather Ferralez of Hutchinson, Kan.; 14 grandchildren; and one brother, Lyle of Gibbon.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
