Charlotte was the second child and first daughter of Conrad Borchers and Nancy Dingdore. She was born in Fairfield County, Ohio and lived her early childhood years there in Ohio. The 1850 Census when she was 10 years old, and the 1860 census when she was twenty both show her living with her parents in Amanda, Fairfield County Ohio. Sometime between 1860 and 1870 the family moved to Jackson County, Missouri where the 1870 census shows them living.

Charlotte died on August 19th, 1887 at 47 years, 5 months and 29 days old.

Charlotte is buried in Gravel Wall Baptist Church Cemetery in Clay Township, Section 26 in Andrew County, Missouri. Her father, Conrad, her mother, Nancy, her sister, Mary Ann Deaton, and her brother George are buried in the same cemetery.
