GREENSBORO- Mrs. Billie Jean Alexander Lopez, 70, of Pineland Street, Greensboro, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2007 in Miami, Fla.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 30, 2007 at the Forbis & Dick North Elm Street Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Billie Jean was a native of Greensboro and was the mother of six children.

She is survived by her children, Emilia Christina Ruizcalderon and her husband Ralph Paredes of Miami, Fla., Phyllis Lopez of Greensboro, Laura Lopez of Burlington, and Oscar Lopez Jr. and his wife Inaze of Kernersville; sisters, Peggy Hanson of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Anne Bailey of Greensboro; and grandchildren, Kevin G. and Katherine Phillips, Christina, Jamie and Sergio Ruizcalderon Jr., Hollie and Jimmy M. Anderson, Chris Davidson and Justin Evans. She is also survived by her former husband Oscar Lopez of Greensboro.

She is preceded in death by two children, Richard Ricardo Lopez and Edith Pauline Lopez Phillips, and three brothers Leroy Alexander Jr., Spencer E. Alexander and Jacky M. Alexander.
