The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2002, at Calvary Baptist Church, McLeansville, with the Rev. Terry Larsen officiating. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park, High Point Road.
Mrs. Kersey was born in Rockingham County, on Sept. 3, 1925, to Roy and Ethel Robbins Alexander. Mrs. Kersey was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Mr. Warren Harding Kersey Sr., in 2000. She was retired from Wesley Long Hospital, and was very active in her church and Sunday school.
Survivors include her son, Mr. Warren Kersey Jr. and wife, Judy Phillips Kersey of Salisbury; sisters, Peggy Hanson of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Anne Bailey and Billie Alexander of Greensboro; grandchildren, Jennifer Semones and husband, Jonathan of Liberty, Erica and Michael Kersey of Salisbury; and great-grandchild, Jeremy Semones of Liberty.
