•Obituary-Edward Portwood, an employee of the Mueller Ice Co., Covington, and a former resident of Boone County, died Wednesday, October 14 at his home 1011 Greenup St., Covington. He was 72 years old. Mr. Portwood was a member of Big Bone Baptist Church.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Thesa [sic Theresa] Portwood; three sons, John and Earl, both of Elsmere, and William, Covington, and five daughters Mrs. Annabelle Martin, Mrs. Mary York and Mrs. Blanche Meyer, all of Covington; Mrs. Edna Lovelace, Crittenden, and Mrs. Lillian Lozier, Lexington.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Covington. Burial was in Big Bone Cemetery.
