Raymond Woods 76 of Fountain City died January 17, 2014 at Arbor Trace surrounded by his family. He was born September 22, 1937 in Laurel County, Kentucky to Elisha and Elizabeth "Lizzie' Settles Woods and lived in the Richmond area 37 years. He retired as a self-employed building contractor after building more than 3,000 houses for over 50 years in Indiana and Ohio. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Wayne County Coon Hunters Association and raised champion Coon Hounds. Survivors include his wife of over 53 years Irene, three children Donald (Peggy) Woods of Richmond, Dale (Tracy) Woods of Richmond, and Nova Woods (Casey) of Fountain City, eight grandchildren Amber, Amanda, Ashlee, Heather, Samantha, Kylie, Kara, and Kian, two great grandchildren Joanna and Jackson, one sister Carrie Law of Dayton, Ohio, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, five brothers James Arthur, Robert, James Matt, Burgan, and Hobert, one sister Ruhama Combs.
