Nancy P. Timm, age 85, died Friday, January 10, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Columbus. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2014, from 5:00 pm until 7 pm at Memorial Funeral Home.

Mrs. Timm was a co-owner and operator of Columbus Beauty and Barber Supply. She was a 1946 graduate of Lee High School, and MSCW with an Associates Degree. She was an active supporter of the Lowndes County Humane Society, co-chairperson of the Calico Fair, a member of the Art Association of Columbus, and the Columbus Pilgrimage Association. She was an artist, and horse enthusiast and an equestrian. She donated her body for research to the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Preceding her in death were her parents, James Grady and Ruby Redus Pennington; sisters Evelyn Miller and Gladys Kuhn; brothers James Grady Pennington; and her niece, Kam Atkins Clark.

Survivors include her husband, Ray Timm, Columbus, MS; nephews, Mike Miller and Steve Pennington; great nieces Paige Bishop (Terry) and Tarra Pennington; great-great nieces, Carly Stokes (Bolie Douglas) and Tiffany Welch (Josh); great-great nephew, David Miller; great-great-great nephew Aidan Miller and special caregiver of 18 years, Lula McCradic.
