Linda SIMON of Randolph, former elementary teacher at Franklin School in Brockton for 24 years, died after a lengthy illness at the New England Sinai Hospital on Sunday. She was 47.
SIMON was born in Brookline. She was a graduate of Sharon High School and Northeastern University. She was a member of Temple Beth Am in Randolph, serving on the School Committee.
She served on the social science curriculum committee, taught in the community school program, ran the computer lab, and was the track and softball coach at Franklin School.
She was also the union representative for the Franklin School and the Brockton Education Association.
SIMON leaves her husband, Lawrence of Randolph; her son, Joseph of Randolph; her brother, Edward J. Walper of Wayne, New Jersey, and a niece and nephews.
