Alice Girling was born in Frostenden, Suffolk, England about 1544 and baptised there at All Saints Church. Her parents were Lewis anbd Agnes Cranoe Girling. On April 1, 1560, she married Thomas Wyeth, son of Thomas and Elizabeth Wyeth, in Frostenden, at the church where she was baptised. Alice and Tomas settled in Saxstead and must have had several children, but we only know of one, a son named John, born about 1560. Alice died in Saxstead, but the date is unknown. She was buried in the churchyard of All Saints Church in Saxstead.
