Mr. Moran was the son of Peter Moran and Nancy Ellen Piercifield Moran and was born in Fillmore. He was married to Lillie Wilson on Dec. 25, 1907, at her home northeast of Rosendale . They lived in Iowa a few years but most of the time they lived in northwest Missouri. A son, Norman Hoyte, died Nov. 7, 1940. Survivors are his wife of the home; a brother, Albert Moran of Villisca, Iowa; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Noah Moran, Sr.; a brother-in-law, Milt Wachtel of Savannah; and several nieces and nephews." Savannah Reporter and Andrew County Democrat (Savannah, Missouri), March 19, 1954
