Mrs. Whitlock was born in Carroll County on September 23, 1927, daughter of the late Jesse Green Terrell and Ive Elsie Redding Terrell.
She retired from Sewell's, where she worked as a seamstress and was a member of Consolation Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Rev. Milton C. Whitlock; daughter, Brenda Smith of Carrollton; son, Wendell Whitlock of Detroit, Michigan; grandchildren, Charles and Kim Head, Scottie and Beth Head, Nancy and Kevin Bennett, Cindy and Steve Morris, Mayce Whitlock, Kyle Whitlock, Stuart Smith and Lauren Smith; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Irvin Terrell of Austell; and sister, Inez Rush of Carrollton.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two infant daughters, Florence and Nancy Whitlock.
Funeral services will be Friday, February 22, at 2 p.m. at Consolation Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Eidson, Rev. Wally Dedman and Rev. Mike Powers officiating. The body will be placed at the church from 1:30 p.m. until the funeral hour. Music will be by Wade Terrell.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Buck Whitlock, Don Dedman, Cliff Lowe, J.P. Blair, Barry Bradley, Tom Bishop and Joel Hartley.
The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Thursday, February 21, from 5 to 8 p.m.
Interment will be in Midway Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.
