Rudolph Brooks Belvin, 91, of Lubbock passed away on Jan. 10, 2014, whilst a patient at Windmill Village Nursing Home. Rudolph was born on Nov. 4, 1922, to the parentage of Endrous Belvin Sr. and Hattie Lee Belvin in Lake City, Fla. He served in the U.S. Airforce, WWII, from Feb. 11, 1943, to Aug. 3, 1945. Rudolph married Forselene Ward Oct. 26, 1944, and to this union one child, Tammie Belvin, was born. He was a faithful member of Bethel A.M.E. Church and an active member of the senior choir. An awesome father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Rudolph enjoyed spending time with his family and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Endrous and Hattie Lee Belvin; and one brother, Endrous Belvin Jr. Celebration of life services will be held on Friday, Jan. 17, 2014; at Bethel A.M.E. Church at 2 p.m. Interment will follow City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary.
