Valerija C. Woolvin, a longtime resident of Sisterdale, TX, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2012. Born in Riga, Latvia on January 3, 1929, she was the daughter of Eugene and Appolonija Buzzinskis Cernauskis. A longtime proprietor of the Sisterdale Store, she was very proud of her ranch that had been settled by Dr. Ernst Kapp in 1849. She loved collecting art and raising longhorn cattle. Preceded in death by her parents, son, Phillip Woolvin, and sister, Eleanor, Mrs. Woolvin is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Allen and her husband, Robert; grandsons, Justin Metcalf and Christopher Agold; nieces, Irene and Edie. Visitation will be on Friday, April 13, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Graveside Services will be on Saturday, April 14 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sisterdale Cemetery, followed by a BBQ at the Sisterdale Store. Funeral Arrangements entrusted to Vaughan's Funeral Home of Boerne.
