ELIZABETH C. WHALEY EXPIRES AT DAUGHTER'S HOME
VERONA, July 5 -- Mrs. Elizabeth Whaley, 87, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harry D. Beaver, today after an illness of several weeks.
Elizabeth Cole was born in England on Dec 7, 1847, and came to this country with her parents when a small child. On Sept. 29, 1868, she was married to George C. Whaley who died thirty four years ago.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. William E. Sloane of New Hartford and Mrs. Harry D. Beaver of Verona; one nephew, Dr. Arthur G. Hall of Earlville, and the following grandchildren; Mrs. N. C. Henderson, Oriskany Falls; George W. Sloane, William E. Sloane Jr. Sidney; Edith C. Beaver, Harry D. Beaver Jr., C. Warren Beaver, Elizabeth W. Beaver, Verona; Mrs. Louis M. Higgins, Rochester; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held July 8, 1935. Rev. W. J. A. Gramham, pastor of the Presbyterian Church officiated. Bearers were George Sloane, William Sloane Jr., Harry Beaver Jr. Clarence Stook and Louis Higgins Burial was in Verona Cemetery.
