CUBWENSVILLE — George M. Bressler, well known resident of Curwensville, died at his home on Saturday, October 5 at 6:45 p. m. after a short illness. He was 81 years, two months and nine days old.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. David Bressler, he was born near Curwensville on July 27, 1859.
Surviving are the following children: Boyd of Akron, Ohio; Andrew of Zion, Centre County; Willis of Olanta; Mrs. Harry Ogden of Lawrence Township; Howard, Homer, Fred and Cora of Curwensville. There are 27 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Surviving also are the following brothers and sisters: Frank Bressler of Bloomington; James of Houtzdale, and John of Curwensville; Mrs. Faninie Thomas of Akroij, Ohio; Mrs. Edith McCauley of Lewisberry, York County; and Mrs. Bennet Wilt of near Curwensville. Four sisters and one brother preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 8, 1940 from the residence on River street at 2 p. m. with Rev. L. Vance Green officiating. Interment was made in Oak Hill Cemetery.
