"Requiem High Mass for Mrs. Reba P. Murphy, 48, 73 Main Street, Westernport, who died last Friday in Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser, was celebrated Tuesday morning in St. Peter's Catholic Church, Westernport.
The Rev. Linus E. Robinson, pastor, was celebrant of the Mass. Interment took place in the parish cemetery.
Pallbearers were Paul Murphy, Edward Gillespie, Richard Murphy, Robert Leatherman, Donald Leatherman, Larry Fazzalore and William Lithicum.
A daughter of the late John P. and Gettie (McDonald) Gerard, Mrs. Murphy was born in Keyser but had resided here most of her life. She had been a patient in the hospital since 23 January 1961,
Mrs. Murphy was a former employee of the Tri-Towns Cut Rate, was active in Girl Scout work and a past leader of Girl Scout Troop 109 which she continued to serve as a committee member.
She was a member of St. Peter's Church and Court Sancta Maria, Catholic Daughters of America.
Survivors include her husband Edward M. Murphy; three daughters, Mrs. Sara Hartman of Westernport; Mrs. Carol Moore, of Keyser, and Miss Kathryn Murphy at home; one son, Edward T. Murphy, San Pablo, California.
Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Daisy Leatherman of Keyser and Mrs. Nellie Grove of Piedmont; her step-mother, Mrs. Rachel Gerard of Winchester, Va.; two half-sisters, Mrs. Blanche Todd, Winchester and Mrs. Jennie L. White, Terra Alta, W.Va.; a half-brother Howard Gerard of Terra Alta and four grandchildren."
