GRANITEVILLE — Finished life's journey and entered into rest on Thursday, January 17, 2008, Mrs. Rita Eileen Patrick Harper of Graniteville, loving wife of G. [Garlan] C. "Chris" Harper, [Jr.] and daughter of the late Edward C. "Pat" Patrick and the late Lila Mae Woodward Patrick.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Harper Renee Koon and her husband, Daniel of North Augusta; a brother, Edward Patrick of Alabama; a sister, Kay; a brother-in-law, Tom Lambert and his wife Pam of Mississippi; five grandchildren, Nichole Batchelor, Candace Batchelor, Brandon Batchelor, Victoria Koon and Jacob Koon; and four great- grandchildren; Austin, Alyssa, Summer and Landyn.
She was born in Amsterdam, N.Y. but has been a lifetime resident of Aiken County. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Graniteville. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will truly be missed by her family and friends.
The funeral service will be conducted Sunday, January 20, 2008 at 3 p.m. at St. James Lutheran Church in Graniteville with Pastor Barry T. Antley officiating. The interment will follow in the Graniteville Cemetery.
The pallbearers will be Jimmy DiArenzo, Billy Tucker, Brandon Batchelor, Bruce DiArenzo, Lane Rogers, Milton Rogers, Lawton Johnson and Chip Satcher. The honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Koon, Tom Lambert and Jacob Koon. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Napier Funeral Home, 315 Main St., Graniteville, SC 29829.
