Rachel Lucille Sadler Price, 89, Of Lubbock. As the sweet chariot swung low on January 10, 2014, our beloved Rachel Lucille Sadler Price got on board for the journey to be with Jesus.

Rachel was born in Cloud Chief, Oklahoma, on May 4, 1924. Shortly thereafter, her family moved to the west Texas area. She graduated as valedictorian from Whitharral High School, and then continued her education at Draughn's Business College in Lubbock. Being a person of adventure and continuous learning, Rachel traveled a multitude of career paths throughout her eighty-nine year life span. She worked for the Lubbock Police Department, Barron's Whole-sale Drug and in Administration at Texas Tech. She owned a drapery business for thirty-five years and she was a licensed reflexlologist and massage therapist.

She married Floyd Alfred Price of Lubbock on April 14, 1945, in Anton, Texas. They enjoyed sixty-eight years of marriage, while attending Southside Church of Christ. They lived on and farmed the land that Floyd was born on.

Rachel was predeceased by her parents, Elsie and Samuel Sadler of Littlefield, Texas one brother Ervin (Josephine) Sadler of Littlefield; five sisters, Dortha Sadler of Littlefield; Florence (Bill) Eady of Denver City, Texas, Wanda (Walton/Jack) of Sudan, Texas; Vineta (Lester) Couch of Anton, Texas; and Veva Mae (Boice) Anderson of Levelland, Texas.

Rachel is survived by her husband, Floyd Alfred Price of Lubbock; and a daughter and son-in-law Renee and James O'Donnell of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; as well as seven nephews; and eight nieces.

Visitation of Family and friends will be on Wednesday January 15, 2014 from 5 until 7 pm at Resthaven Funeral Home. Celebration of life services will be held in Resthaven Funeral Home's Abbey Chapel at 10:00 am on Thursday January 16, 2014. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.

The family was blessed and is thankful for the care Rachel received by the staff at UMC and Odyssey Hospice.

Mrs. Price was a very special lady.
