Funeral services for Ernestine "Grandma" Barrington will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 15, 2014 in the First Baptist Church of Pitkin with the Reverend Brian Thurman, and Reverend Jeremy McCrory officiating. Committal service will follow in the Blue Branch Cemetery of Pitkin under the guidance of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.

Ernestine, 83, of Pitkin entered eternal rest on Monday, January 13, 2014 in the Bryd's Hospital of Leesville. She was born on September 8, 1930 in Glenmora to the union of James Monroe LaCaze and Pauline Youngblood LaCaze. She retired as a drug/alcohol abuse counselor for the State of Texas. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt, and friend.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Steve LaCaze and James LaCaze; one sister, Mary Catherine Thompson; and two daughters, Judy Elaine Yeley and Linda Pauline Hukill.

She leaves behind her loving family to cherish her memory, three sons, James Everett Yeley of Leesville, John Leroy Yeley of Jacksonville, Texas, and Ellis Henry Yeley of Pitkin; one brother, Robert LaCaze of Pitkin; three sisters, Carolynn Gill of Smyrna, Charlene Doxey of Pitkin, and Darleen Scarber of Houston, Texas; twenty grandchildren, host of great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers to serve will be Jason Yeley, Josh Yeley, Joe Willis, James Willis, Dan Yeley, and Ronnie Yeley. Honorary pallbearers to serve will be Olian Willis and Jesse James.

Visitation will begin Tuesday, January 14, 2014 from 6 p.m. until 10 pm, then Wednesday, January 15, 2014 from 8 a.m. until service time in the church at 2 p.m.
