Tina Marie McCourt Boland Gwinn, 50, of Freeport passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011, at FHN Memorial Hospital.
She was born on Sept. 24, 1960, in Freeport, a daughter of William "Bill" and Donna (Piper) McCourt. On Jan. 13, 2010, she married Ted Gwinn. Her daughter, Allie Boland, was the love of her life and was her Guardian Angel.
She found a new passion in her life when she volunteered at the Critter Camp at German Valley. She became a great volunteer and a reliable friend. The critters enjoyed her presence. Tina loved fishing. She was a wonderful cook and loved animals.
Survivors include her husband, Ted Gwinn, and her daughter, Allie Marie Boland, both of Freeport; her parents, William and Donna McCourt of Lena; her grandmother, Marie Oppold Piper of Freeport; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Vallie Jo McCourt; and her grandfather, Melvin Piper.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 28, at the Schwarz Park Blvd. Chapel, 608 S. Park Blvd., with Dr. Burliss Parker, pastor of the First Church of The Open Bible, officiating. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery in Pearl City.
Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday at the chapel.
A memorial fund has been established in her memory.
