Tink was dating Bill Gundrum, whose father owned Gundrum's funeral home in South Amboy. Bill and Tink were returning home after visiting his parents shore home to return a crib borrowed for her sister Mary's daughter as they were home for their 10th high school reunion. Bill fell asleep at the wheel. Tink was ejected and died. Bill loved Tink, and made her very happy. He never recovered after losing her. She is missed!!!
As a side note, I asked Mary how Tink got her nick name. The year Tink was born, the movie Peter Pan came out and her Mom called her Tinkerbell. They shortened it to Tink as she got older.
UPDATE OCTOBER 11, 2014. A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO TINK'S SISTER MARY FOR CORRECTING INFORMATION ON TINK'S MEMORIAL. 5/23/21 Thank you to Mary Carroll Olah for the photos of Tink.
