PONTOTOC – Travis Woodrow Clayton, 90, died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, at Graceland Care Center of Pontotoc. He was born Jan. 11, 1924, to Mr. and Mrs. Ervin and Fannie Lou Wilder Clayton in Pontotoc County. He later married Euncie Robinson Clayton on June 24, 1943. He was a Christian, farmer, maintenance worker for Trace State Park and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father and friend.

A celebration of life service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, at Baldwin Nowell Funeral Home Chapel in Pontotoc with Bro. Felix Hutcheson and Bro. Melvin Crawley officiating. Burial will follow in Immanuel Cemetery. Baldwin Nowell Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by one son, Frank Clayton (Linda); two grandchildren, Junior Clayton (Jamie) and Mitzie Jenkins (Jimmy); six great-grandchildren, Krysta Meek (Tyson), Brady Jenkins, Dustin Clayton, Brandon Jenkins, Colton Jenkins and Parker Clayton, all of Pontotoc; and one brother, Truett Clayton (Selma) of New Albany.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice Clayton; and his parents, Ervin and Fannie Lou Clayton.

Pallbearers will be Vernon Clayton, Tyson Meek, Dustin Clayton, Brandon Jenkins, Brady Jenkins and Colton Jenkins.

Honorary pallbearer will be Parker Clayton.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
