Dixie "Lou" Taylor
August 18, 1925 - January 9, 2014

Dixie was born on Aug. 18, 1925 to William and Dovie Thornton in Plainview.

On Sept. 6, 1941 she married Graydon Odis Taylor in Lubbock and he died on July 17, 1995.

Dixie had been a member of Oakwood Bapt. Church for over 50 years. She was an avid bridge player and a member of the Metropolitan, Newcomers and the Women's Clubs. Dixie was a member of the Red Hat Society and a past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a son, Mickey Taylor.

Survivors include a son, Ronnie Taylor (Linda) of Lubbock; a daughter, Donna Ratliff (Tony) of Spur; a brother, Raymond Thornton (DeeAnn) of Levelland; nine grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren and nineteen great great grandchildren.
