daughter of Charles and Elizabeth Henderson Tallman. She married William H. Ray Feb. 3, 1901, in Lancaster. The couple made their home in Vernon County since 1928 andhad lived in Lake township where Mr. Ray was a farmer.

She is survived by two sons, Elza D. Ray and Aubrey L. Ray; one daughter, Mrs. Earl Compton; and four brothers, Everett Tallman, Frank Tallman, Carl Tallman and Austin Tallman.
