Mrs. Clara G. Hunt, 108, of Kerrville, passed away Friday, Nov. 26, 1999, in a local care center. She was born to the late James T. Manning and Eliza Lee Wyatt on June 1, 1891, in Blueball, Ark. She married the late Otto R. Hunt in 1911. They were married 66 years. Mrs. Hunt was a member of the First United Methodist Church, UMW, Philathea Sunday School Class and sang in the church choir for many years. She was a resident of the Kerrville area since 1930. She is survived by two daughters, Alene Jahnke and her husband, Oscar, of Shreveport, La., and Betty Daniel and her husband, Walton, of Kerrville; one son, John Hunt and his wife, Lonetta, of Kerrville; 16 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hunt is also survived by two sons-in-law, Ervin Hardin of Kerrville, and Paul LaBlanc of Tampa, Fla.; and one daughter-in-law, Velta Hunt of Kerrville. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Maureen Hardin and Billie LaBlanc; one son, Harry Hunt; four brothers; and two sisters. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, 1999, at First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Warren Hornung officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kerrville Funeral Home.
