Mrs. John H. Ballenger Dies At McLarney Hospital
Mrs. Mary Ballenger, daughter of John and Mary Fessler, was born on June 9, 1876, in St. Louis, Mo., and passed away at the McLarney hospital in Brookfield on Monday morning, August 14, at 5:10 o'clock, following a lingering illness. She had been more seriously ill the past six months.
Mrs. Ballenger was 63 years, 2 months and 5 days old, at death.
She was united in marriage to John H. Ballenger in 1904 and to this union three children were born; Marie and Louis Ballenger, of the home, north of Callao, and one son, John Paul, who died in infancy.
Besides the two children and the husband, she is survived by a host of friends and relatives.
The body was taken to the Perry and Edwards Funeral Home at Callao, where it will lie in state until about 8:00 o'clock on Wednesday morning.
Funeral services will be conducted at 9:00 o'clock on Wednesday morning, from the Immaculate Conception Church, in this city, by the Rev. P. B. O'Rourke and burial will be made in St. Mary's cemetery.
