Apr. 16, 1953 - July 20, 2010

Arthur "Art" Easterling passed away on July 20 in Molalla, at the age of 57.

He was born on April 16, 1953, in Pasco, Wash., to Ronald and Agnes Easterling. He graduated from Pasco High School in 1971, and then in 1973 he earned an associate's degree from Columbia Basin Community College in Pasco.

He married Karen Freeman on May 22, 1994, in her parents' backyard in Cottage Grove.

He was a Napa store auto parts manager, who loved hunting, guns and knives. He also enjoyed watching TV, especially the History Channel, the Food Network and shows about hunting and fishing. He was a lifetime member of the North American Hunting Club and a life member of The History Channel Club.

He is survived by: his wife, Karen Freeman-Easterling; "his boys," C.B. and Blaze; parents, Ron and Agnes Easterling; brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Sharon Easterling; nieces, Megan Easterling, Alex Easterling and Claire White; numerous cousins, aunts and uncles; and by his best friend forever, Dennis Schauss.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Walter and Ellen Easterling; grandparents, Art and Grace Ziska; and two uncles.
