MARTIN, Lydia Passed away at her home at R.R. 3, Harriston on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, in her 86th year. Lydia was the wife of Elam M.J. Martin and mother of Harvey and Melinda Martin of Westmeath, Nancy and Levi Weber of Wallenstein, Lena and Edwin Martin of R.R. 1, Harriston, Levi and Martha Martin of R.R. 3, Harriston, and Jonas and Anna Martin of R.R. 3, Harriston. Remembered by 39 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Sister of Sarah and Urias Martin of Elmira, Mrs. Lydia Martin of Listowel, Mrs. Esther Martin of Waterloo, Elam H. Martin of St. Clements, Daniel and Ada Martin of Wallenstein, and Mrs. Lauretta Martin of Elmira. She was predeceased by her son Henry Martin, by her brothers and sisters Emma Weber and husband Abram, Noah Martin, Henry Martin, Reuben Martin, Clayton Martin, and Saloma Brubacher and husband Amos, by her sister-in-law Saloma Martin, and by her father Christian Martin, her mother Anna Martin, and her step-mother Catherine Martin. Friends and relatives may call at the home of Jonas Martin, 6466-6th Line, R.R. 3, Harriston on Thursday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. A family service will be held at the home on Saturday, January 11 at 9:00 a.m. with further services and interment to follow at Westdale Mennonite Church, Minto Township. Arrangements entrusted to the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home , Harriston.
