Beryl Evelyn was the third child born of six and the third born daughter of five born to Carl Enoch "Reuben" McLaughlin and May Viola Gerrish.

She was married to Dana Ewell Stevens on 10 November 1937 in Island Falls, Aroostook, Maine. Together they four children:

1. Darla Annette Stevens Ellery - 1939
2. Richard Aubrey "Dick" Stevens - 1942
3. Kevin Carl Stevens - 1950
4. Lisa Laraine Stevens - 1959

Mrs. Beryl E. Stevens 94, of Danvers, died August 24, 2013 at her home, Putnam Farm at Danvers, surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Dana Elwell Stevens. They shared 71 years together. Born in Dyer Brook, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Carl and May (Gerrish) McLaughlin. Beryl was raised and educated in Dyer Brook, Maine. Mrs. Stevens had been employed as an assembler at Hottwatt in Danvers for over 20 years until the time of her retirement. A resident of the Town of Danvers since 1940, Beryl was a long time member of the Riverside Squares, square dancers and enjoyed the weekly jazz band concerts at the Danvers Senior Center. During her last two years, Beryl enjoyed the friendship of the residents and received loving care from all the staff at Putnam Farm at Danvers. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be deeply missed. Beryl is survived by her daughters, Darla Ellery and her husband Richard of Danvers and Lisa Stevens of Danvers, her sons, Richard A. Stevens and his wife Joan of Linneus, Maine and Kevin C. Stevens and his wife Heidi of Lincoln, Maine, her five grandchildren, her ten great grandchildren, her sister Nadine Bradley of Haverhill and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Margaret Dunn, Lillian Higgins and Aubrey McLaughlin.ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St, Danvers Square, Thursday, August 29th, at 11 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Danvers. Visiting hours Wednesday August 28th, from 4 to 7 P.M. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Beryls memory to the Hospice of the Northshore, 75 Sylvan St, Danvers, MA 01923 or to the Danvers Senior Center 25 Stone St, Danvers, MA 01923.

Mrs. Beryl E. Stevens 94, of Danvers, died August 24, 2013 at her home, Putnam Farm at Danvers, surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Dana Elwell Stevens.
