Funeral services for Mrs. Lizzie Cardin Birdsong, 82, were held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, April 2, in the chapel of Bennett-May Funeral Home, with the Rev. Mack Pinkelton officiating. Burial was in Bethesda Cemetery.
Mrs. Birdsong, wife of the late M. F. Birdsong, died Sunday night in Baptist Hospital, Nashville.
A native of Giles County, Mrs. Birdsong was born November 29, 1885, the daughter of the late James L. and Nancy Diana Williams Cardin.
Survivors include three daughters, Miss Flora Mae Birdsong, Mrs. Larry Codner, and Mrs. Edward Kellum, all of Nashville; two sons, Monroe Birdsong, Gallatin, and Ben Birdsong, Nashville; two brothers, Kirk Cardin, Pulaski and Fisher Cardin, Decatur, Ala.; one sister, Mrs. C. Y. Allison, Nashville; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
