Lucille Marie Bahner, age 95, of Topeka, passed away January 4, 2014. She was born March 26, 1918 in Pomona, Kansas, the daughter of Asahel and Ivah (Firestone) Davis.

Lucille married Harvey Bahner, November 4, 1945. He preceded her in death on May 17, 1991.

She is survived by three children; Sharon Carlson, Lowell (Ricky) Bahner, and Kevin Bahner, 4 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren.

Lucille graduated from Silver Lake High School in Kansas and received a Bachelor of Education and Master of Education degrees from Washburn University. She taught school for many years and retired from Topeka USD #501 in 1993.

Lucille was devoted to her home and family. She was a member of Eastern Star and was a lifelong member of the Church of the Brethren.

Visitation will be Thursday January 9 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Davidson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 10 at 10:00 am at the Topeka Church of the Brethren. Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Topeka Church of the Brethren in care of Davidson Funeral Home.
