Mr. Ray Roy McKiddy was born September 16, 1925 in Whitley County to Steve McKiddy and Martha Ellen Reynolds McKiddy and departed this life Friday, May 4, 2001 at his home in New Carlisle, OH being 75 years, 7 months and 18 days of age.

On March 18, 1946 Ray was married to a most loving and dedicated woman, Alice Elizabeth Northcutt, and they recently celebrated 55 years of marriage.

Survivors include his wife Alice Elizabeth Northcutt McKiddy of New Carlisle, OH; many nieces, nephew, and other relatives, including his hunting buddy, Ivan and close friends, Ron and Faye Banks of New Carlisle, their daughter, Regina and her husband, Larry of Lexington and many other friends.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Steve McKiddy and Martha Ellen Reynolds McKiddy; two brothers, Tony and Rev. Richard L. McKiddy; two sisters, Reno McKiddy and Ethel Peace.

For 40 years Ray was a member of the Masonic Lodge, and the Scotish Rite Temple. He was an employee of General Motors Corporation in Dayton, OH for over 30 years retiring in 1977. Ray's most favorite pastime was his love for hunting and being with his favorite dogs, Lucky and Sonney. They spent many hours together treeing every coon they could find. Besides hunting, his second favorite hobby was sports, especially baseball and basketball. He was one of the biggest U. K. fans there was. For the last several years Ray was ill with Parkinsons Disease and went through many difficult days not being able to walk by himself or talk
very well. Without the help, love, and constant care of his wife Alice, Ray would not have lived as long as he did, or have been shown so much love. Alice went through all the hard days with him, keeping him at home and doing everything for him. She will be blessed by God for being so good to Ray and having a heart of gold.

Burial was in the Croley Addition of Highland Park Cemetery, Williamsburg. Croley Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
