Roy Elbert Sexton, age 96, passed away on Sunday, January 5th, 2014.
Roy was born near Meeker, Oklahoma on December 29, 1917, the son of John and Bell Sexton.
Roy moved to Idaho in 1936 and married his wife, Edwardine, in Twin Falls on May 23, 1938. The couple farmed for 40 years in the Magic Valley area, near Eden, Twin Falls, Jerome, Murtaugh, and Hazelton, Idaho; and they retired and moved into Twin Falls in 1982.
Roy is survived by his wife; three children: Sandra McBride, Richard Sexton and Linda (Eddie) Green; one grandchild, Angel; two great-grandchildren: Mari (Sam) and JR; and five stepgrandchildren from the Green family: Monica, Travis, Mela, Melissa and Tim; and 12 stepgreat-grandchildren.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters and four brothers.
Services for Roy Sexton will be held at the Rosenau Funeral Home, 2826 Addison Avenue East, in Twin Falls, with a viewing and visitation on Thursday, January 9th, from 6 to 8 p.m., and a funeral service on Friday, January 10th, at 1 p.m.
A graveside service and interment will follow at the Twin Falls Cemetery.
