BOSSIER CITY, LA - Celebration of life service for Arlene Marie Petersen Harvey, 80, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home officiated by Father Pike Thomas. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive guests on Tuesday evening between the hours of 6-7:30 p.m. at the funeral home with a rosary beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Arlene was a faithful member of St. Jude Catholic Church, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She will be deeply missed by those she leaves behind.
Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, Jack F. Harvey; brother, Arthur Petersen; father, Arthur Petersen; and mother, Mildred Kraus Petersen. Left to cherish her memory is her sister, Janet Silvernail and her children and grandchildren; daughters, Kathy Whitten and husband Jerry, and Rose Herrold and husband Alan; sons, James Harvey and wife Debbie, and John Harvey and wife Terri; grandchildren, Dawn, Jenny, Aaron, Melonie, Heather, Katie, Corey, and Andy; and great-grandchildren, Allahna, Lena, Cohl, Jaicee, Nadine, Aydan, Ava Beth, and Jack.
Honoring Arlene as pallbearers are Aaron Herrold, Corey Smith, Corey Harvey, Andy Harvey, Alan Herrold, and Jerry Whitten. Honorary pallbearers are Stephen Brann, Tom Koch, Tom McClellan, and David Bowden.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Pilgrim Manor and especially her roommate, Maggie Ely for being such a good friend.
