Charles A. Brown
A well-known Edina business man, Charles A. Brown, 72, of Edina, died unexpectedly at 7:58 Sunday morning (March 16, 1986) in the emergency room of Grim-Smith Hospital.
Mr. Brown was born May 28, 1913, in Edina. In Edina on June 23, 1940, he married Mildred Kriegshauser who preceded him in death in 1982. Also preceding him in death was one brother, Joseph.
surviving are one daughter, Millie Sue Nussbaum of Keokuk, Iowa; two grandchildren, Allen and Susan and one sister, Betty Myers of Edina.
Mr. Brown was a life-long resident of Edina. For 40 years he owned and operated the Brown's Market on the wets side of the square in Edina. He was also a self-employed sign painter.
The body is at Kriegshauser Funeral Home in Edina where rosary will be said at 7:30 this evening (March 17, 1986).
Funeral services will be held at eleven o'clock Tuesday morning (March 18, 1986) in the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edina. The Rev. Mike coleman, pastor of the church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Edina.
Bearers will be: Sam Myers, James Lovegreen, Richard McMasters, Terry Callahan, Charles Gossman and Dr. Robert Collinge.
Honorary bearers will be: Harold McKay, J. J. Hayes, Cliff Whitmire, Jack mcCauley, Launce Mustoe and Richard Hagerla.
