Dorothy M. Klueter, age 84, of Glen Carbon, Illinois died at 3:57 a.m. Thursday, January 2, 2014, at Relais Bonne Eau Hospice in Edwardsville, Illinois after a long battle with failing health.
  Over the years she worked as a telephone operator for Illinois Bell, a cafeteria worker at Edwardsville High School, and later at Ballweg's Drug Store and Cards Plus in Edwardsville.
  She was born March 8, 1929, in Edwardsville, the daughter of the late Harry & Bernadine (Huntman) Hanser. She married Allan Neuhaus on January 1, 1954. He preceded her in death in 1985. She later married Vernon Klueter on October 26, 1991.
  Besides her husband she is survived by two sons, one daughter, one stepson, two stepdaughters, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and one sister.
  She was preceded in death by one brother, Rev. Carl Hanser.
  Dorothy was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Edwardsville. She was a volunteer at Anderson Hospital Auxiliary for many years. She and Vern spent their retirement years traveling around the United States.
