She was born to Jean Russell Driggs and LaNola Callister Driggs.
She married Donald Ray Olsen on June 9, 1948 in the Salt Lake Temple. They were together for forty-eight years before he passed away on June 27, 1996.
Her greatest concern has always been for others, inviting them into her home and heart...treating everyone as family.
As a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she has served well and long, including several years of service at the Jordan River Temple with Don.
She has always been ready to in invite and encourage those she loves to be the best they can be, and to follow the example of our Savior.
Her past few years have been difficult. Several previous strokes hampered her ability to speak and get around, but she never let that stop her. She continued to demonstrate her care for others by hosting family gatherings at her home and going on visits when she was able. Even while in a hospital bed and barely able to speak, she kept her sense of humor and wanted to make things easier for others.
She is preceded by her dear husband, Don; her daughter, Sandy; a brother; and two sisters. Surviving children are Tom, Scott, Ilene, and John, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. All of them have benefited greatly from her love and kindness.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Little Cottonwood Sixteenth Ward Chapel, 6350 South Rodeo Lane, Murray, with a viewing on Sunday, January 5, 2014 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street (100 East), Murray, and 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church.
