Lola Mae was born in Holland, Texas, to the late Louis Cockrum and Belle Cauthran Cockrum. She married Thomas E. Wingert. Lola was a homemaker and had lived in California and Indiana but spent most of her life in Bell County. She was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas, in July, 1982; daughters, Carolyn Parette and Cynthia Harmon; and son, Donald Cockrum.
Survivors include her stepson, Terry Wingert, of California; sisters, Dorothy Sawyer Arvin, of Temple, and Joann Goolsby, of Mesquite; grandchildren: Robert Parette, Ronald Parette, Paula Cox, Donna Gott, Tommy Cockrum, Linda Mayes, Gail Hallenbeck and David Harmon; numerous great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
