Ms. Dowling died Tuesday, October 10, 2000. A native of Swansea, she was a daughter of the late Aaron D. and Esther Quattlebaum Dowling.
She was a graduate of Winthrop College and the University of South Carolina. She was a retired teacher from Lexington School District #4, a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Teacher Society, Alpha-Episilon, LCEA-retired, and S.C. EAR-retired and NEA-retired. She was a member of Swansea First Baptist Church and the T.E.L. Sunday school class.
She was predeceased by a sister, Susan Dowling.
