Delores Eason, age 91, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2013, at the Carroll Health Center in Carroll, Iowa.

Delores May, daughter of Garris W. and Charlotte (Anderson) Heath, was born February 13, 1922, at Yetter, Iowa. She grew up at Carroll and graduated from Carroll High School in 1940. Delores and her grandfather Hosea W. Heath, along with her mother, ran a dairy farm just west of Carroll.

On December 6, 1941, Delores was united in marriage with Keith W. (Jack) Eason at Princeton, Missouri. Four children were born to this union. Delores and Jack made their home in Carroll. Delores then worked for Montgomery Ward, Sears and Roebuck, Spurgeon's Department Store (24 years as a clerk and bookkeeper), Norma's Fabric's, New Hope Village Gift Shop, and she demoed products at Fareway, K-Mart and WalMart.

Delores was a life-time member of the First United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School and Bible School and held offices in the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Throughout the years, Delores enjoyed quilting, sewing and baking. She cherished the time spent visiting with her family and friends.

Delores is survived by her children: William Eason of Pahrump, Nevada; Sharon Benton and husband Galen of Worthington, Minnesota; Charlotte Bunker of Carroll; and Kevin Eason of Des Moines; grandchildren: Janet Eason of California; Dawn Plaum and husband Steve of Phoenix, Arizona; Jennifer Mosman and husband Kurt of Breda; Marlae and Michelle Benton of Worthington, Minnesota; Erika Eason of Oregon; Jenna Eason of Colorado; Tyler Eason of Ankeny; and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters Jerry Cullen and Thelma Prenger.
