Jewell B. Wright, 83, of Owenton, died March 5, 2005, at St. Joseph Hospice Care Center in Lexington.
Born Nov. 16, 1921, in Scott County, she was the daughter of the late Thurston Davis and Viola Humphrey Breen. She was a homemaker and a member of Richland Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Danny Mason Wright of Concord, N.C. and Harvey Dale Wright; two daughters, Linda Mae Young of Carrollton and Brenda Ann Hymer of Frankfort; a brother, Everett Breen of Georgetown; a sister, Christine Breen Wills of Georgetown; eight grandchildren, Gregory Mason (Becky) Wright, Jeffrey Scott (Judy) Wright, Michelle Young (Rodney) Hawkins, Marcia Young (Mike) Dunlap, Leah Hymer (Kenny) Disponett, Clinton Ray Hymer, Rebekah Wright (Mike) DePalma and Hannah Wright; seven great-grandchildren, Aaron Robert Wright, Chandler Mason Wright, Benjamin Curtis Wright, Danielle Morgan-Mae Wright, Melody Hawkins, Raenah Hawkins and Mackenzi Hawkins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Mason Wright, and two sisters, Arnetta Breen Barkley and Daisy Mae Breen Wise.
Funeral services were held March 8 at McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Burial was in Owenton Cemetery with Bro. Jesse Bourne and Bro. Josh Owen officiating.
