ARMA - Susie A. Morris, 88, of Arma, formerly of Arcadia, died at 6:45 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, 2005, at the Hospital District No. 1 of Crawford County at Girard.
She was born July 16, 1917, at Englevale, to Charles A. and Myrtle C. Logston Garrett.
She was raised in Arcadia and attended Arcadia and country schools.
She was a homemaker who lived in Arcadia most of her life prior to moving to Arma in 1998.
She married Charles F. Morris on Nov. 26, 1934, at Arcadia. He preceded her in death on Jan. 5, 1974.
She was a 50-year member of the Eastern Star at Hiattville.
Survivors include three daughters, Virginia Coonrod of Arma, Charlotte Foust of Lamar, Mo., and Joyce Turner of Arma; two sons, Charles W. Morris of Arma, and Larry R. Morris of Mulberry; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Della Morris, Esther Mansfield, and Stella Brinkle; and two brothers, Elmer Garrett and Chester Garrett.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Bedene Funeral Home at Arma with the Rev. Ken Sommerfeldt officiating.
Burial will be at the Sheffield Cemetery at Arcadia.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. today at the Bedene Chapel where friends may call after 11 a.m.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Bedene Funeral Home of Arma.
