Lucy Maude Batton
Funeral services were scheduled for today at 2 p.m. in the Rose-Neath Chapel for Lucy Maude Batton, 93, a longtime resident of Minden.
Mrs. Batton died Wednesday, April 8, in Texarkana, Ark., where she had resided for the past five years. A homemaker and member of Parkway Baptist Church, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elton H. Batton, and her son, Horace Batton.
Bro. Don Woodard was to officiate at the funeral services, with burial to follow in Brushwood Cemetery in Dubberly, under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home.
Mrs. Batton is survived by one daughter, Elsie Johnson of Texarkana. Also surviving are six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
