Held Monday For
George F. Burt


Funeral services were held Monday at the Brushwood Methodist Church in Dubberly for George Frank Burt, 56, who was killed Thursday in a lumber mill accident near here.

Mr. Burt was employed by Holoman Lumber Company and had been with them for a number of years as foreman of the timber cutting crew. He was killed Thursday afternoon when a log rolled off a truck and crushed him.

Survivors are his widow; three sons, George Burt of Minden; William Burt of Ringgold, Jack Burt of the U.S. Navy, stationed in California; four daughters, Mrs. R.T. Heflin of Minden; Mrs. C.B. Parker and Mrs. C.C. Cook, both of Lumberton, Mississippi, and Marie Burt, Honolulu, T.H.; two brothers, W.R. Burt, Minden; J.J. Burt of Vivian; four sisters, Mrs. J.S. Liner, Mrs. Elton Batton, Mrs. R.L. Ouzts, all of Minden and Mrs. J.E. Brunson, Shreveport.

MAN KILLED IN LUMBER MILL ACCIDENTS


Funeral services were held at the Brushwood Methodist church in Dubberly Methodist church in Dubberly Friday, Oct. 11 for Geo. F. Burt, 56, of Minden, who was killed in a lumber mill accident near Minden on Thursday.

Mr. Burt is survived by his widow; four sons, including Willard Burt of Ringgold; four daughters, two brothers and four sisters.
