Lorraine Burgess Davis Sept. 5, 1930 Oct. 31, 2005 Services: Sat., Nov. 5, 10:00 a.m. Lorraine Burgess Davis, 75, of Bakersfield, formerly of Hidden Hills, CA passed away on October 31, 2005. She was born on September 5, 1930, in Burley, Idaho to Joseph Oscar and Olive Myrl Burgess. At the age of 6, they moved to West Los Angeles. In June of 1951, she married Robert Kelsey Davis, who preceded her in death in 1981. She was also preceded in death by two of her sisters, Edith Rae Tolman and Marvel Gudmunson. She is survived by 3 sons, R. Scott Davis of Bakersfield, Mark Davis of Highland, Utah, Jon Davis of American Fork, Utah; and daughter, Kristine Gardiner of Bakersfield; sister, Dorothy Mann of North Hills, CA; brother, Jack Burgess of Walnut, CA and 19 grandchildren. Lorraine was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in which she served others faithfully throughout her life. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She had an amazing capacity to love and made each one of us feel special. She will be dearly missed. The family wishes to thank Dr. Ravi Patel and the staff at CBCC for their compassion and kindness offered throughout her treatment. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 5th, at 10:00 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 601 Deseret Way. Legacy.com
