30 Aug 1943: James M. Bohr, Jonestown, age 48, died at 11:15, Saturday, August 28, 1943 at the Philadelphia Naval Hospital. His age was 48 years, 10 mos. and 8 days. Death followed a five weeks illness. Mr. Bohr was a member of the I.O.O.F. lodge of Fredericksburg; and Frederick Fuhrman post of the V.F.W. in Lebanon. He served in France in WWI as a corporal in Co. R, 5th. Div., US Army. Surviving is his wife, Viola (nee Wolfe), and 3 sisters, Ellie Lash of Jonestown, Carrie Kohr of Shenandoah, PA and Lydia Foltz of Annville. Funeral services were held today for James M. Bohr of Jonestown. The Rev. George Herbert of Jonestown was in charge of the service. Military rites were held at Cedar Hill cemetery in Fredericksburg by members of Frederick Fuhrman post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Pallbearers were fellow lodge members of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows of the Fredericksburg branch of the I.O.O.F. Interment was made in Cedar Hill Cemetery. [Lebanon Daily News]
