Nancy Jane Potts, 70, of Morrisdale, died on Sunday, September 18, 2005 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Born February 20, 1935 in Philipsburg, she was the daughter of the late Lee Ashcroft Sr. and Hazel Ritchey Ashcroft.
On July 21, 1957 in Winchester, Va. she married Harold F. Potts who survives at home.
Mrs. Potts was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Philipsburg. She was a homemaker and a graduate of the former Philipsburg High School Class of 1953.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Jamie Ann Sabol of Yorktown, Va.; an aunt, Aldean Hughes of Gearhartville and two nephews, John McTigue of Nashville, Tenn., and Randy Ashcroft of Fla.
She was preceded in death by a sister Joyce McTigue and a brother Lee Ashcroft Jr.
She was the last of her generation.
Friends will be received 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at the Strange and Weaver Funeral Home, 171 Deer Creek Road, Morrisdale. The funeral will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, September 22, 2005 at Trinity United Methodist Church, S. Front St., Philipsburg, with the Rev. Brenda K. Leigey officiating.
